One Source, Many Names: A Gentle Thought On Religion
Share
I want to talk about something a little different today. And I want to say right at the start, this is just me. Just my own thoughts, from my own head.
I am not here to change anyone's religion. I am not here to tell anyone they are wrong, I am not here to challenge anyone's faith, and I am absolutely not here to start a debate. I need to really stress that. Every single person is completely entitled to believe exactly what they want to believe, no matter what religion, no matter what background, no matter what path led them there. That includes you. That includes me. And honestly, I love that we all see it differently. The fact that we have so many different beliefs and opinions in this world is something I find genuinely beautiful, not something I want to change. 💜
But I do find this fascinating. And I think about it a lot.
Same Source, Different Words
I believe, and this is purely my own theory, nothing more, that every religion, at its very beginning, started from exactly the same place. The same beliefs, the same understanding, the same source. And then thousands of years happened. Different languages, different cultures, different translations, and the world's longest game of chinese whispers. And somewhere along the way the words got muddled, the meanings shifted, and what started as one thing became many different things.
Does that make any of them wrong? I don't think so. I think they are all just different versions of the same truth, seen through different eyes, told in different words. 💜
I don't use the word God personally, I say universe. But I genuinely believe we are all talking about the same thing. Just using different names for it. That is simply my own way of seeing it, and I would never want anyone to feel like I am asking them to see it the same way.
A Gentle Thought About Jesus
And then there is this thought that I have had for a long time, that I share very gently and very humbly because I know it might not land the same way for everyone, and that is completely okay.
I think Jesus was a medium. In the physical. I think he had a gift, an extraordinary gift, for communicating with spirit and bringing through messages that people desperately needed to hear. And when I read "rose from the dead" I wonder, with the gentlest curiosity, whether something got lost in translation somewhere. Whether what actually happened was that his energy, his soul, came through another medium after his physical death. Which is not miraculous in the way we might think, it is just how spirit communication works. His soul never died. It never does. None of them do. 💜
And even his name, we say it one way, but there are people alive today called Jesus, pronounced Heyzeus. Language changes everything. It always has.
Just A Thought, Not A Fact
None of this is fact. None of this is something I could ever prove, and I am not trying to. It is just the way my mind works when I sit quietly and think about it all. I came to these thoughts on my own, before I ever went looking for spiritualism or read a single book about it. They just felt true to me, and they are mine to hold, not something I am handing to anyone else to believe too.
What I do know for certain is this, whatever you believe, wherever you find your comfort, whatever name you use for the energy that holds us all together, it is valid. It is yours, and it always will be. And if your loved one has a message for you, it will find its way through. It doesn't check your religion first. It doesn't ask which church you go to. Love doesn't work like that. 💜
