The Truth About Mediumship That Nobody Wants to Say Out Loud

I need to talk about something that I think a lot of people in this industry get very wrong. And I say this with love, because that is the kind of medium I am and the kind of medium I always intend to be. 

You may have been told that your loved one needs time to come through. That there is a transition period. That you should wait six months, a year, longer, before booking a reading. I want to gently share, in my experience and in my belief, that isn't quite how it works.

The Moment The Heart Stops, The Soul Is Already Home

Instantly. There is no waiting room. There is no queue. There is no transition period that prevents connection. The life review happens. Loved ones come to meet you. The process of returning to spirit unfolds, but it is not bound by time the way we understand it here. And I do mean instantly. I know how strange that sounds, how does a soul take in a whole life review, a welcome from loved ones, an entire process of transition, all in an instant? I cannot fully explain it in human terms, but in my experience that is exactly what happens. It is not a process that takes days or weeks the way healing or adjusting does for us here.

I felt this myself in the first few days after my Nan passed. It is something I talk about in my book, but in short, I felt like she and I had completely combined in those early days. Not a gentle fading in and out, not a slow build, it was immediate and overwhelming, as though there was no gap at all between her passing and her presence being right there with me. That is what led me to believe what I believe now, because I lived it, I didn't just read about it. 

There Is No Time There

None. Not a second, not a year, not a decade. Time as we know it simply does not exist on the other side. So the idea that your loved one needs six months to settle in before they can reach you? That is a human concept being placed on something that is entirely beyond human limitations.

I understand why the idea of a transition period exists. It is comforting in its own way, and it gives people something gentle to hold onto while they wait. I just want to offer you a different comfort, one built on what I have lived and felt myself, because I think it can bring just as much peace, if not more.

It Is About What You Truly Need, And When You Truly Need It

Now here is the part that I really want you to understand, because this is the bit that changes everything. 

You might have lost someone twenty years ago. You might have sat with a hundred mediums and received nothing. And then you sit with one medium at exactly the right moment and everything comes through. Or your loved one might have passed last week and the very first reading you have is full and clear and overwhelming.

That is not about timing. That is not about transition periods. It is about what you truly need, and when you truly need it. 

Not what you think you need, what you actually need at a soul level. As much as we want to hear from our loved ones, and I understand that want with every part of me, the connection comes through most clearly when we genuinely need it. When it will truly help us. When the time is divinely right. That timing is something so beautifully out of anyone's hands, mine included, and there is something quite comforting in knowing it is being looked after with that much care.

If You Haven't Received A Message, It Does Not Mean They Don't Love You

Please hear this too. It does not mean your loved one doesn't love you. It does not mean they aren't trying. They are sending you signs every single day, and I don't just mean the usual list you see everywhere online, the feathers, the robins, the 11:11 on the clock. A sign can be anything at all. It is whatever is closest and most personal to that particular person, chosen by them, not by some generic rulebook. It might be a song that meant something only to the two of you, a smell, a random photo turning up out of nowhere, or something that instantly reminds you of them and nobody else would ever understand why. They are constantly reaching toward you in whatever way is most them, and they will always keep trying, even when a reading hasn't happened yet or hasn't given you everything you hoped for.

Your Loved One Can Be In More Than One Place At Once

Here is one more thing that people really struggle to get their heads around.

I know that sounds impossible from where we are standing. But in a world without time, without physical limitation, without the boundaries that define our existence here, a soul can be with you and with another family member and experiencing the beauty of the spirit world all at the same moment. It is beyond what our human minds are built to fully comprehend, but it is the truth as I understand and experience it.

Why I Choose To Share This Gently

I am sharing all of this because I care so much about the people who come to me, and I want you to always feel completely looked after, never like you are being fobbed off or told a nice story just to make a moment easier. I would always rather sit with you in the honest, sometimes harder to explain truth, than offer something simpler that doesn't quite hold up.

I know this way of looking at things is a little different, and that's okay. I am a slightly different kind of medium, and I share this with so much love, not to correct anyone, just to offer another kind of comfort.
