The Truth About the Paranormal

The Truth About the Paranormal

Can we talk about the paranormal for a minute? Because I think it is time someone told the truth about what it actually looks and feels like, because it is nothing like what you see on television. 👻

I want to be really clear from the start. Everything I share here is based on my own personal experiences and my own beliefs. I am not a scientist, I am not claiming to have all the answers, and I am definitely not here to tell anyone else what they should believe. This is my truth, built from a lifetime of walking into places and picking up on images, thoughts and feelings without ever really understanding what it was. It wasn't until the end of February, beginning of March 2023 that I actually found out I was a medium, so this is still a fairly new part of my life, even though the feelings themselves go back much further. Take from it what resonates and leave what doesn't. That is always my invitation to you. 💜

Now, let me tell you what paranormal work actually looks like in real life, because it is a world away from what gets put on the telly.

What Actually Happens On An Investigation

Television loves a jump scare. Slamming doors, growling voices, people running screaming from a room. In my experience of doing this, that has simply not been the reality. Most investigations are quiet. They are thoughtful. Sometimes they are even funny, because the people I go with have a laugh along the way too. What actually happens is much more subtle than a camera crew chasing drama for ratings. It is a feeling, a name, a sense of someone standing a little too close, a word that lands out of nowhere and means everything to the person hearing it.

Helping A Spirit Find Peace

I recently helped a spirit find peace, and I want to share what that really means, because I think it might surprise you.

He wasn't terrifying. He wasn't dramatic. He was simply a soul who needed help. He needed peace. His energy was restless, not because he was dangerous, but because he hadn't yet found his way through. So I talked to him. Calmly. Kindly. The way I would talk to anyone who was lost and needed a little guidance to find their way home.

I asked him to find the universe's bright white light. I asked him to walk through it. And using dowsing rods, which I have on video, he communicated with me every step of the way. There was no dramatic music, no flickering lights, just a quiet, steady exchange between us while everyone around me stayed respectfully still. ✨

Spirits Do Not Just Disappear

Here is what people don't realise about rescuing a spirit. They don't disappear. They don't vanish dramatically into thin air the second you say the right words. They simply find peace. Their soul finds rest. They are still very much themselves, just no longer restless.

He was still able to communicate afterwards, to tell me he was okay, that he was at peace. I asked him to make the rods go outward if he was safe, and he did. I asked him to make them come inward to thank me, and he did that too. All of it on camera, and if you want to see that communication for yourself, I shared it in full in my post about meeting Gordon at Landguard Fort.

No drama. No theatrics. Just love, light, and a soul finally at rest. 🕊️

This is the truth about paranormal work, in my experience, that nobody talks about. It is not about banishing something. It is about helping someone find their way to where they need to be.

Spirits Cannot Hurt You

Spirits cannot hurt you. In my experience and in my belief, I need you to really hear that. Whatever you have seen on television, whatever stories you have read, the dramatic possessions, the terrifying encounters, the sense of danger, that is not the reality of genuine spiritual connection as I have lived it.

Honestly? I am far more scared of the living than I have ever been of the dead. The dead, in my experience, just want to be heard. They want peace. They want to know they are not forgotten. That is it. That is the whole of it, stripped of the theatrics.

An Open Heart, Not A Horror Film

The paranormal, to me, is not something to fear. It is something to approach with respect, with love, and with an open heart. I take this work seriously, more seriously than almost anything else I do, but that does not mean it has to be miserable or frightening. There is room for warmth in it, and even for a laugh along the way.

If you have questions about any of this, about what I do, about spirit rescue, about what I personally believe happens on the other side, drop them below. I am an open book. 💜
