What To Expect Before Booking A Reading

What To Expect Before Booking A Reading

If you have ever booked a reading or you are thinking about it, here are a few things I really want you to know beforehand. Not to put you off — quite the opposite. I just think honesty makes the whole thing better for both of us, and in my experience, the people who come in knowing what to expect always get so much more from the experience.

Please Don't Tell Me Things Before We Start.

I know it feels natural to give me context. To help me along. To tell me who you are hoping to hear from, or to share a little bit of background so I have something to work with. I completely understand the impulse — it comes from a good place. But please don't.

The less I know going in, the more the evidence means when it comes through. That is the whole point of evidential mediumship — the information should come from spirit, not from you. I want you to be able to sit there and think — there is no way she could have known that. That is what makes it real. That is what makes it meaningful. So come in with an open mind, say as little as possible, and let spirit do the talking. You might be amazed at what comes through when I have nothing to go on.

The Person You Most Want To Hear From Might Not Come Through.

This is probably the most important thing I can tell you, and I want to say it clearly because I think a lot of people carry this worry without voicing it.

If the person you are most desperate to hear from does not come through, it is not because they do not love you. It is not because they are not there. And it is absolutely not a reflection of my ability as a medium. Spirit works in its own way and in its own time, and I cannot summon a specific person any more than you can make someone pick up the phone.

Sometimes the person who comes forward is not who you were expecting at all. It might be someone you were not particularly close to. Someone you had almost forgotten about. Someone you never even considered. Please do not dismiss that. If they are coming forward, there is a reason — even if you cannot see what that reason is yet. In my experience, the messages that land from unexpected visitors are often the ones that mean the most, once people have had time to sit with them.

You get what you need, when you need it. I have come to trust that completely, and I hope you will too.

It Does Not Matter If I Know You.

This is something people wonder about more than you might think, so I want to be really clear about it.

I have read for people I know well. I have read for people connected to someone I once knew years ago. I have even read for my own partner and received a message for him from a friend of his who had passed — someone I had absolutely no idea even existed. I had never heard the name. I knew nothing about this person. And yet the evidence came through clear as anything.

Knowing someone does not cloud the evidence. It does not give me an unfair advantage and it does not make the connection any less real. If spirit wants to come through, they come through — regardless of who is sitting in front of me, and regardless of whether I have any existing knowledge of their life. The evidence speaks for itself, and that is the only thing that matters.

Come With An Open Heart, Not A Test.

I understand scepticism. I really do. You do not have to believe in any of this to sit down with me, and I would never ask you to suspend your critical thinking at the door. What I would ask is that you come with a genuine willingness to receive, rather than a determination to catch me out.

If you arrive looking for reasons to dismiss everything, you will find them — not because nothing real happened, but because that is what our minds do when we are in self-protection mode. You will second guess things that genuinely landed. You will talk yourself out of things that actually resonated. And you will leave feeling like nothing came through, when the truth might be very different.

Give it a chance. Keep an open mind. You might be more surprised than you expect.

And Finally — I Will Always Be Honest With You.

If I have nothing for you, I will say so. I will never fill the silence with vague generalisations just to make you feel like something happened. I will never push and push at something that isn't landing just to avoid the awkwardness of saying I don't have anything right now. You deserve honesty, and so do the people you are hoping to hear from.

That honesty is the foundation of everything I do. It is what I built this on, and it is what I will never compromise on — no matter what. 💜
